last night, we took a walk.
san antonio is not a very "walkable" city
...especially not where we live...
but we live across the street (practically)
from a Cracker Barrel
so we braved it and hit the pavement
an excellent choice, it was.
we had an interesting discussion about how walking to/from restaurants
makes you think about how much you're eating
because it's incredibly unpleasant to walk home after stuffing yourself to the gills
(believe me. i know. i did this more than once in Chicago.)
so i had to pump the brakes on my Country Fried Steak
with mashed potatoes
and gravy
and broccoli and cheese casserole
and turnip greens
and bring some home in a doggy bag.
thoughts?
is the walkability of a city inversely proportional to its rate of obesity?
for more reasons than one?

I LOVE evening walks. Also, is that a can of dip in your back pocket?
ReplyDeleteha! it's a lens cap! but for the sake of hilarity, yes, let's call it a can of dip.
Deletelooks like the perrrrfect evening walk. i love these photos! you look adorable.
ReplyDeleteyour dinner sounds incredible. need to come visit texas asap!
i'm a little jealous of your proximity to cracker barrel. you could have biscuits and gravy every morning if you wanted to. or every afternoon. or every evening. the possibilities are endless, emily.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty photos! Love them
ReplyDeleteLovely! Hope you enjoyed that Cracker Barrel. I haven't been there in a long time! Think I will need to change that after reading this. Love you both.
