it's safe to say that i'm equally elated to be home, and missing the big city like crazy. Nick misses it too. you just never know. we Flemings may be big city dwellers once more. only time (and the ever lovin' USAF) will tell.
even though all my clothes and suitcases are put away, i have a lot of unpacking to do in my head. i didn't do much blogging while i was away (obviously), and for better or worse, sitting down to blog is when i do all my best thinking and reflecting. that, and in the shower. of course. like a normal human. so i find myself with a whole bunch of thoughts and emotions that are all jumbled together. it's going to take some time for them to sort themselves out.
in the meantime, i leave you with this very un-fashion-week-y outfit post of sorts. by that, i mean...there are multiple pictures of me wearing the same outfit. which i threw on to go up to the rooftop of our building in New York so i didn't freeze my patootie off. i never actually wore it anywhere. but these types of posts are rare around these parts. even more rare, are the moments when Nick is willing to take photos of any kind. so you must take advantage. though i must admit, i feel like a huge fraud. fashion blogger, i am not.
and good heavens, i need a haircut.
happy Monday! i'm off to see the wizard...orrrr to work...at the Children's ER. bring on the kiddies.
